How to build a light sculpture from scratch
When Barbara Hepworth’s light sculpture was announced as one of the most expensive pieces of art ever created, I was skeptical.
“Light sculptures are so expensive,” I thought.
“This is the first time I’ve seen a light painting that is so big and so expensive.”
But I had never seen a single light sculpture that was so big, so expensive, and so unique.
So when Barbara Hepsworth’s light painting, “Tiny Little Light,” was revealed, I knew it would be worth every penny.
Tiny little light is a piece of art that looks so small that it feels like a tiny piece of furniture in the room.
Its simplicity is a perfect match for the “light” of the artwork.
Its sheer scale makes it seem so insignificant.
It’s like a light that just happened to shine through the cracks of the wall.
The light painting of Barbara Hepwell was unveiled in front of a sold-out audience at the Tate Modern in London on April 15, 2017.
A new exhibit titled Tiny Little Light will showcase the work of Barbara and David Hepworth.
The work will be made from over 2,000 pieces of light sculpture.
The sculpture is approximately 7 feet tall and includes a miniature version of a tree, a tree trunk, a small house, and a tree.
While it may seem like a simple, simple piece of light art, it is not.
It takes a special artist to create a piece like this, especially one that can be placed anywhere on the wall, says Barbara Hep.
